What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

EFT is a form of energy psychology. It returns the mind, body and feelings to a state of balance and harmony so you are not limited by negative emotions. Gary Craig discovered in the 90’s that stimulating the major meridians by tapping on acupuncture points on the head and body, while simultaneously focusing on specific issues and feelings, could lead to remarkable alterations in the body’s energy patterns. This shift of energy results in substantial freedom from emotional and physical symptoms and literally rewires energy disruptions – often eliminating them entirely.

We can unknowingly be affected by recurring negative emotions from past events and our formative childhood years, which shape our behaviour, choices and responses in adulthood.

EFT is a very effective yet gentle method of directly balancing the body’s energy system for the feelings and patterns that you want to change. By using a combination of talking and gentle tapping on various acupuncture points, EFT calms the trauma response to negative emotions and releases old patterns and behaviours that keep us stuck.

Matrix Reimprinting

Matrix Reimprinting is a leading-edge Energy Psychology and new EFT technique created by founding master practitioner Karl Dawson. It combines Meridian tapping (EFT) with creative visualisation for the relief of distressing emotional states, issues, fears and beliefs, and the Reimprinting of positive empowering states.

The latest scientific discoveries reveal that memories are not held in the brain or body as previously thought, but in the Matrix, an energy field surrounding and infusing the body (see Bruce Lipton research). This field becomes imprinted with experiences from conception onwards, and is especially 'absorbent' until the age of seven. The sensory experiences we are exposed to, both positive and negative, form our software programs for life, generating our responses and hardwiring our beliefs. Unsurprisingly the negative ones end up working against us and need rewriting.

Matrix Reimprinting works with events or memories that feature the self you were at the time. We refer to this self as our ECHO. Your traumatised Echo is still stuck in that event, frozen in time, yet affecting your life now. During a session you will be made to feel safe at all times. Traumatic memories can be neutralised from a safe distance, so you don't have to re-live bad experiences.

By helping the Echo move through that stuck point, to create both a positive outcome and a new positive belief, the present-day triggers are simultaneously healed. This new positive programming is Reimprinted into the Matrix, which then generates empowering responses to the previous negative triggers.

Because in Matrix Reimprinting we are working directly in the energy field which underpins everything, the shifts are often felt immediately and the effects are permanent.

Whilst it's possible to experience a 'one session wonder', many people have multi-faceted issues, which require several sessions to completely clear.

What To Expect From A Session

We will begin by discussing what you want to work on.

By tuning into an issue physically, feelings in your body will come up, i.e. tightness in your throat, butterflies in your stomach etc. The issue will be rated from 0-10 or SUDS (Subjective Units of Disturbance Scale), 0 being no feeling about the issue and 10 being the maximum intensity of the feeling. A set up statement will be used, using your own words and tapping on the issue using the tapping points (see diagram). This technique is very gentle and core issues will be approached very slowly and carefully, by tapping on the feelings in the body, the intensity often lessons after a couple or so rounds of tapping. If the intensity increases then we have tapped into an element of the issue and so tap on this until the SUDs level decreases.
